5 FALL FASHION WARDROBE MUST-HAVES

I’m a summer girl at heart but I’ll have to admit that fall fashion is my absolute favorite, and Fall 2016 is certainly #slaying with a number of fabulous trends. I’ve been hardcore swooning over many of them, and in this blog post I’ve come up with a list of my top 5 must-haves. As you upgrade your wardrobe this fall, you definitely need to make sure that one or more of these items are in your shopping cart. 1. The Metallic Flat 

Metallic flats are just plain out dope! The metallic flat trend emerged last fall and I’m super stoked that it’s stuck around this year. I absolutely love this trend! I feel like you instantly score “cool points” with metallic flats. I’ve been frequently rocking a Zara pair that I bought last fall and whether I’m in the supermarket aisle or just walking on the street, I always get compliments. They will certainly add some extra funk and pizazz to your fall wardrobe.

2. The Wide Brim Hat

The wide brim hat is not only fashionable, but also super functional. It’s an essential cold weather accessory that every “fashionista” needs. I love the drama it adds to even the most basic of outfits. Make a statement in one of these this fall.

3. The Cold Shoulder Sweater

This old trend has resurfaced and taken 2016 by storm. I’ve always been a fan of the cold shoulder look. There’s just something about it that I find incredibly stylish.  I may have bought one too many cold shoulder tops this summer, but I’m still looking forward to adding a few sweaters to my fall wardrobe.

4. The Over-the-Knee Boot

So you either love or hate the over-the-knee boot trend. And trust me I get the hesitation for some; I’ve been there! I’ll be honest and say that I initially was not impressed with this trend. But alas it has grown on me. Who was I kidding… it was bound to happen. These long legs were made for tall boots! 😉 I recently bought a beautiful leather pair (coming to the blog soon), and I just love the way I feel walking in those boots. When I put them on, I feel so badass… so “Wonder Woman.” So yes, over-the-knee boots have gone from hesitation to making my fall fashion list because every girl deserves to feel the way that I do when I put my boots on.

5. The Floral Maxi Dress

As a lover of color and prints in general, I love that floral pieces are not just a thing of spring and summer. Florals in fall are becoming more and more popular; so don’t pack away your floral dresses just yet! Take advantage of the ocassional warm fall day and pair them with your favorite booties for a romantic and dreamy fall look. Add a wide brim hat and a mimosa or two for extra flair!
