Hello! My name is Khara, and I’m an island girl from Anguilla living in the Washington, DC metropolitan area. I am an Attorney by trade, but my passions far exceed the realm of my profession. There are many things that excite me; this blog however, is particularly devoted to my torrid love affair with “The Brunch Life” and all the adventures that it brings.
I’m not exactly sure when it happened, but somewhere over the course of the past few years “brunching” became an essential part of my weekend routine. Whether it’s frequenting my favorite spot, trying a new restaurant and new foods, enjoying pancakes in bed on a lazy day, or hosting my family and friends, Sundays have become my designated day for all things brunch. There isn’t a day of the week that I look forward to more than Sundays!
A while back, I made a fun personal goal to eat 100 BRUNCHES, or rather to eat brunch at 100 different DC area restaurants (because truth be told, I’ve probably already eaten 100 brunches). This goal essentially paved the way for the development of this blog. BrunchBelle.com is my creative space to share with you the things that tickle my fancy. The concept of the “Brunch Belle” lies at the intersection of my passion for food, fashion and entertaining: the name being the perfect fusion of my obsession with “The Brunch Life” and my classy sense of style.
Food has always been more to me than a means of survival. I view dining as an adventure! To me, “Brunch” is a lifestyle… the collective experience of the food we eat, the style we rock, the conversations we have, and the company we keep. I plan to convey this sentiment through my various posts, and I am hoping that you enjoy reading them as much as I enjoy crafting them.
So with that, I welcome you to Brunch Belle: the diary of a brunch and fashion enthusiast! This is your front row ticket to my various “Brunchcapades” in and around DC, and during my occasional travels; and your guide to “Brunchin’ in Style.”
I recommend that you also check out 10 Fun Facts About Me in order to get to know me better.
Now that we have gotten introductions out of the way…
Thank you for stopping by. Say hi below, stay a while, and come back often.
